The Orange Air Quality Warning issued for the City of Hamilton by Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, was cancelled yesterday July 19th, 2026.
All City Services are resuming normal operations today.
For residents whose waste was not collected on Thursday, July 16 or Friday, July 17 they are reminded to put their waste, green bin and yard waste out at the curb this week for collection. To help residents manage an extra week of waste accumulation, the garbage limit on Thursday, July 23 or Friday, July 24 only will increase to three (3) bags or containers. The maximum weight remains 50 lbs (23 kg) per bag or container.
