Stone Church Feedermain Construction Starts 2028

The City of Hamilton’s Stone Church Road Feedermain project involves the design and construction of a 1200mm diameter feedermain with a total length of 5650m, from Mud Street West and First Road West intersection to the existing Tunbridge Pumping Station. The Stone Church Road Feedermain is identified as W-24 in the City’s Integrated Water and Wastewater Master Plan Update. 

The proposed Stone Church Road Trunk Watermain is to service growth in the Rymal Road Planning Area and Southeast Mountain Area, and to provide additional distribution capacity for the Tunbridge Pumping Station.

The Stone Church Road Trunk Watermain construction is planned to start in 2028. The construction will:

  • start at Mud Street West and First Road West
  • progress along Mud Street West to Paramount Drive
  • continue along Paramount Drive to Stone Church Road East
  • along Stone Church Road East to the Tunbridge Pumping Station at Tunbridge Cresent

Project Area Improvements

  • Construction of a 1200mm diameter trunk watermain along the Mud Street West, Paramount Drive and Stone Church Road East.
  • Surface Restoration Works
