New Closure Dates: June 13th, 2025, 8:00 AM to June 16th, 2025, 5:00 AM
This revised date was coordinated with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario’s (MTO) ongoing maintenance work on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) Niagara-bound at the Burlington Skyway, which will occur over many weekends.
Adjusting the timing of the Lincoln M. Alexander repairs ensures the two major routes are not affected at the same time. This approach is intended to help reduce traffic disruptions and minimize the impact on motorists and the community.
As initially communicated, planned maintenance activities will include localized asphalt repairs, mill-and-pave resurfacing in designated sections, catch basin cleaning, bridge maintenance, graffiti removal, ditching, vegetation control, pavement marking, and signage repairs.
To facilitate the scope of work and uphold health and safety standards, both eastbound and westbound lanes of the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway will be fully closed from Friday, June 13, 2025, through to Monday, June 16, 2025. If the work does not proceed due to weather, a future date will be communicated.
The maintenance was initially scheduled for May 23 – 26, 2025 and was postponed due to forecasted weather conditions.
